Great little proof of concept Christian! I love that you chose to use Greengrass on the device sending the telemetry data!

I also wouldn’t be quick to dismiss the scalability of using S3 as your data warehouse, DynamoDB is certainly powerful and quick for your realtime data (ie. within the last 24 hours) but isn’t always the right solution for long term archival or reporting. S3 combined with Athena (as you’ve found) along with tools like Glue and Redshift may be better in this area (although Redshift does have a larger overhead getting started and on-going).
